Products made with the Etching/Engraved Process are usually 1mm – 2.5 mm in brass or stainless steel metal created by adding paint and baking the pins at high temperature to fix the enamel, after polishing it a smooth flat surface is achieved.
Process:
- We place an order for minimum quantity of 10 pieces.
- We take the best quality stainless steel or brass metal sheets which can range from 1mm-2.55mm thickness.
- The negative of the required design is then transferred chemically to the metal in an engraved/etched form.
- Once the sheets are ready with engravings, they are carefully hand-painted and hand-cut by our highly skilled craftsmen
- We then rigorously buff/polish the cut pieces to add shine to the badge
- After buffing, the badges are electroplated and polished again. We provide 5 options for electroplating namely nickel, copper, gold, black nickel and antique finish
- Finally, pins are added to the back of the metal pieces. We provide five categories of back pins ie. military back, bell clutch, rubber clutches, safety pin, magnetic back.
